Mobile outdoor windshield replacement can leave the adhesive and primer vulnerable to wind born contaminants such as dirt and debris that can deteriorate the bonding of these items to your windshield and vehicle.  They can also provide an opportunity for your windshield to leak water. Mobile replacement can also allow you to drive away without the adhesive curing to a safe driving condition.  As Your Safety is Our Priority, Grand Glass does not offer outdoor mobile windshield replacements.

AGRSS (Auto Glass Replacement Safety Standards Council)

AGRSS is a safety council set up to provide the best industry standards and practices in windshield and other auto glass replacements and repairs.

Windshields and other auto glass is a contributing factor to the safety of a vehicle.  Glare from a crack in a windshield or just an old pitted windshield can be a serious distraction to a driver.  Most windshields in our cars today are applied with urethane in comparison to a pop-in seal from the old days.  Urethane attached windshields are a safety barrier between the driver and flying objects in an accident.

AGRSS sets standards and best practices for replacing windshields and other auto glass.  Grand Glass Tint and Sound follows AGRSS best installation standards and practices.  We have seen rusty pinch welds, several old layers of Urethane, and gaps in Urethane applications.  All of those situations can be prevented by 1 technician who does the job the right way the first time.
